How to Register for Online Services
Please note – this service is available for over 16’s only
- Present at surgery with photographic identification
- Receptionist prints username and password
- Access the Abbey House medical practice website
- Select On-line services
- Enter username and password
Process for patients to access on-line prescriptions
- Select MEDICATION
- Select MEDICATION (second screen)
- Select EXISTING MEDICATION or MAKE CUSTOM REQUEST (enter details)
- Select REQUEST MEDICATION
- Select the medication you require
- Print out summary for your own records if required
- Request sent to practice for actioning
- Available for collection in 2 working days of receipt
Process for patients to access “Their Summary Care Record”
- Select MY SUMMARY PATIENT RECORD
- This will allow you to view details of any medication, allergies, and sensitivities recorded.
Process for patients to access on-line booking of telephone appointments*
- Select BOOK APPOINTMENT
- Choose the time period you require a telephone appointment
- Look down the list and select View Appointments for the day and GP you want to phone you back
- Select the time you want the GP to call you by clicking Book
- In the Reason box, please type the phone number you want the GP to call you back on
- Click Book Appointment
- You will get a confirmation which you can print if required to help you remember
Process for patients to access on-line booking of face to face appointments*
- Select BOOK APPOINTMENT
- Choose the period of time you would like to request a face to face appointment
- Look down the list and select View Appointments for the day you want to see your own GP
- Select the time you want to see your GP by clicking Book
- In the Reason box, you may type a brief comment, but this is not compulsory (please note this can be viewed by staff at the Practice)
- Click Book Appointment
- You will get a confirmation which you can print if required to help you remember
Process for patients to access on-line cancelling of appointments
- Select MY FUTURE APPOINTMENTS
- Select Cancel for the appointment you no longer require
- Confirm by clicking Cancel this Appointment
- You will get a confirmation that the appointment has been cancelled
* Please ensure you are booking the right type of appointment for your needs. We offer both telephone consulting as well as face to face consulting – this will be indicated in two places during the booking process (1) under “slot type” and (2) under “appointment type”. It will also show up on your booking confirmation. If you are booking a telephone consultation, it is imperative that you put your telephone number in the “reason box” as indicated in the instructions above.
